Delbarton is off and running to a great start to the season. The Green Wave advanced to 4-0 following a 14-5 victory over Mendham.
On fire from the first possession, Delbarton scored six goals in just the first quarter. Tacking on another tally before the half, the Green Wave’s four-goal third put Delbarton ahead 11-1 going into the final quarter.
Mendham finally found a way through the Green Wave’s defense in the fourth, scoring four goals. Nonetheless, Delbarton’s commanding lead never let the Minutemen pose any threat, walking away with a nine-point win.
Ryan Onderdonk led Delbarton with two goals and two assists. Keegan Khan, Connor Kirst, and Michael Rutter each added on a pair of goals and an assist. Emmet Cordrey continuously found opportunities for his teammates, dishing out three assists.
In the current standings, Delbarton ranks 26th in the DigitalSports National Lacrosse Rankings. The Green Wave has the talent to break into the Top 25. Look as Delbarton continues its excellent season against Kinnelon on April 4.
