New Jersey’s top-team Delbarton travelled to No. 6 Seton Hall Prep on April 8, it a contest between two of the state’s best.
Both teams found ways to the net in the first half. After a 2-2 first quarter, the Green Wave took a 7-6 lead into the half.
Seton Hall started the third off with a goal to tie the score again. Then, splitting its goals evenly between the two quarters, Delbarton netted six consecutive goals. The Pirates managed two goals at the end of the fourth, but the damage was done and Delbarton took the 13-9 victory.
Emmet Cordrey and TJ Comizio controlled the offense, each dishing out three assists. Converting on those passes were Ryan Onderdonk, Andrew Ford, and Reed Shaffer. Onderdonk led the game with four scores; Ford and Shaffer both had hat tricks.
With another stellar performance, Delbarton stands in 26th in the DigitalSports’ National Lacrosse Rankings with a 5-0 record.
